Our Story
Jazmine Gordon
Cardinals have been an essential part of my family for as long as I can remember. While I spent most of my life growing up on the beach in Savannah, GA, my family is from the heart of the mountains in Blue Ridge. I spent summers wading in the creek, picking wild blackberries, watching Wheel of Fortune with my Nana, and caring for the dogs on our property. My Nana was the matriarch of our family and passed away in December 2019 after a long and beautiful life. For me and my family, Cardinals will always be a symbol of her eternal love and presence. Every time I see a Cardinal I know that my Nana, and now my beloved Magoo, are watching on in pride as I live out my dream.
My name is Jazmine and I am a working veterinary technician in the Athens, GA area pursuing a degree in higher education. I first became interested in the world of ethical dog breeding towards the end of my now passed first service dog’s life. All dogs deserve to be ethically produced and well-bred and unfortunately Magoo was not.

​ Hello! My name is Allie. I live in Athens, GA, and work full-time as a dog groomer. While I have always had a passion for animals, I specifically joined the dog community in 2020. Right before the COVID lockdown, my dad gave me my first dog, Eddie. Eddie came into my life when I was at my lowest. He helped me become the person I am today and truly saved my life. Through Eddie, I discovered my love of grooming and purebred, well-bred dogs. Eddie has given me purpose, and I could not imagine life without my heart dog.

​ Cardinalis Standard Poodles is a kennel focused on improving and loving the poodle breed. One of our primary goals is to bring out the best in our dogs and help those close to us do the same. In addition to their place as pets within our home, our dogs participate in a variety of sports including barn hunt, rally obedience, lure coursing, dock diving, service work, and conformation. Preserving and improving historic breeds is essential to us so that future generations can enjoy them as we do today. Without passionate individuals who strive to breed healthy, well-rounded dogs, many of our favorite breeds would not exist. We want to be part of keeping our beloved canines happy and healthy. Our first Standard Poodles Mumble and Beetlejuice, has been the perfect examples of their breed. Follow along with our journey!
